so who is alex really?
Well first of all, hi.
There’s a whole lot about me beyond my acting credits, so I want to share those parts of myself too. I’m a very passionate person, and when I love something, I go all in!
I’m a proud New Englander, even though I live in the enemy territory of New York. I grew up playing sports, softball in particular, and I’ve always been very competitive—I’m always pushing myself to be the best. I discovered a love of bartending in 2017, which helped give me a deep appreciation for a well-crafted cocktail. I make a mean chicken milanese and will eat cookies any time, anywhere.
i’ve loved reading since i was little
I am always reading. Like, always. When I was little and got in trouble, my punishment was getting my books taken away, because I read more than I did anything else.
Needless to say, getting to have a New York City Library card is one of the best things about living here. I’m currently in two different book clubs and they both bring me an incredible amount of joy. If you have a favorite book, tell me!
Right now I’m reading Strange the Dreamer, by Laini Taylor. My goal for the year is to hit 55 books, and this is my 31st.
If you were wondering: yes, this was my first Halloween costume, and yes, I was adorable.
SOMETHING IS BETTER THAN NOTHING 2025
Last year in 2024 I did something I called my Resolution Adventures. Rather than making one new year’s resolution and sticking to it all year, I picked one thing each month that I wanted to try or do—I ran my first 5k, I got my first tattoo, I did yoga every day for a whole month, and a bunch of other things. It was incredible.
This year I wanted to embody a mindset rather than a specific goal: something is better than nothing. So all year I’m going to see how I can bring that to everything I do, be it acting, personal, professional, or whatever else I can dream up. Who knows where it’ll take me? I sure don’t, and I can’t wait to find out!
i have the best day job in the world
I worked in the restaurant industry for years and loved it. It became a big part of who I am—so much so that even after leaving it, I found a way to stick around! My day job is for a restaurant tech company called SpotHopper, where I get to spend every day running around New York talking to restaurant owners about their incredible stories and helping make their lives easier. I love food and I love meeting people, so it’s basically the perfect day job. Want to hear about some of the cool spots I’ve found in my travels? Ask away!
